Over £300,000 is expected to be spent on repairs after a spate of speed camera vandalism in Lincolnshire in 2011.
Sixteen cameras have been targeted in the county so far this year. In most cases the cameras are set on fire and in July a £1,000 reward was offered to help catch the culprits.
Mr Siddle said: "It's a small minority who want to take the law into their own hands.
"They seem to think that their way of getting back at the system is to burn the cameras. We will catch these individuals. We'll stop this."
Of course, there's a much easier, safer and, crucially, legal way to avoid getting caught out by the speed cameras in your area. Speed camera detectors from Snooper will alert you to the presence of speed cameras, and our databases are constantly updated with the latest changes to the speed camera network. Many of our GPS speed camera locators will also display the correct speed limit, along with your current speed, helping you to stay on the right side of the law whenever you're behind the wheel.
