Snooper have joined forces with Outdoor GPS experts Memory Map to bring you the ultimate portable navigation system. The Adventurer 7000LR Plus comes complete with Snooper's unique Ventura navigation software but in addition combines Memory Maps award winning Outdoor GPS technology.

Mapping
The Adventurer 7000LR PLUS is ready to use straight from the box with complete coverage of Great Britain using Ordnance Survey® Landranger® 1:50,000 scale maps. Perfect for all sorts of outdoor leisure activities including walking, cycling, 4x4 driving or just walking the dog. The OS Landranger map series provides all the topographical information you need to get to know your local area including places of interest, tourist information, picnic areas and camping sites, as well as footpaths and other Rights of Way.

Memory-Map’s award winning PC software is also included with the Adventurer 7000LR PLUS so you can plan your routes and print OS Landranger maps at home before you venture outdoors. Once you’ve completed your trip you can import the GPS tracklog recorded on your Adventurer GPS back onto your PC so you can see exactly where you’ve been along with time, speed and distance covered.

Adventurer 7000LR PLUS is also compatible with additional maps from the Memory-Map range including Aviation and Marine charts as well as maps for France, Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA.

Software
The Adventurer 7000LR PLUS includes full PC software featuring Ordnance Survey mapping, enabling you to print maps, plan routes and transfer routes, tracks and waypoints to and from your PC.

You can also add further mapping from the entire Memory Map collection, including historical mapping, aviation and marine charts, European mapping and maps from further afield.  

GPS
A 50 channel high sensitivity GPS receiver ensures a fast lock as soon as the unit is switched on and the signal remains strong and clear even in built up and wooded areas.

Screen
The Adventurer 7000LR PLUS features a full colour 7” touchscreen with high resolution for an incredibly vibrant and sharp display.

Ventura satellite navigation

Snooper's VENTURA sat nav software is the first of it's kind  to include dedicated routing designed specifically for caravans and motorhomes - plus Snooper's multi award winning speed camera location technology. First launched on the S2000 with a 4.3" LCD display, Ventura has been a huge success and welcomed by caravan and motorhome enthusiasts across Europe. 

The Snooper S7000 VENTURA satellite navigation system is the result of many months of development based on our research of the industry and feedback from the 1000's of caravan and motorhome users already using the S2000 Ventura. As a result VENTURA is the most comprehensive portable sat nav system designed specifically for caravans and motorhomes on the market. VENTURA uses Navteq transport data at it's core, but VENTURA is further enhanced but 1000's more attributes combining to give far more comprehensive cover of hazards on more roads than any other system on the market.

The S7000 incorporates all the features of the S2000 VENTURA but incorporates a large 7" display. This larger format display makes it much easier to view any potential hazards to your vehicle such as weight and height restrictions, plus it makes it possible to display all turn-by-turn routing instructions in a larger format making them much easier and safer to read whilst driving.

In fact everything about the S7000 VENTURA is bigger and better. It is easier to enter addresses and scroll through the systems menu as the on-screen button sizes are bigger and easier to press. Select the facilities you require from the built-in ACSI campsite database then search and navigate to one of 8600 campsites across 29 countries across Europe. Ventura will even show you a photograph of your chosen campsite before you depart!

But that's not all, Snooper have joined forces with camping specialists ACSI to provide you with the richest campsite data available and all stored on board Ventura as standard. Simply select the country and region you want to visit then select from an indepth list of facilities you require such as campsites with swimming pools, watersports, a nearby river, by the sea and with shops, restaurants etc Ventura will then do the rest. A list of campsites that match your chosen criteria will be displayed, some even include photographs so you can see the campsite first hand. Once you have selected the campsite you want to vist, Ventura will route you straight there.

Caravan Club and Camping & Caravan Club
Snooper Ventura now also comes with complete lists of Caravan Club campsites, Caravan Club Approved campsites plus Camping & Caravan Club campsites - all preloaded so that you can search and navigate straight to them at the touch of a button!

Car navigation.
Although Ventura has clearly been designed to navigate caravans and mobile homes on safe and legal roads it also incorporates a car setting. Simply switch Ventura to car mode and it will navigate you on the most effective routes for your car instead!

TMC Traffic information technology - FREE of charge!
As a driver you will know the importance of needing to know exactly what lies ahead. Accurate and reliable information is a must to ensure that you get to your destination on time. Snooper's TMC information is provided by ITIS probably the best traffic information provider in the UK. Traffic information is fed from 100's of thousands of vehicles and sensors across the country providing up to the second information. It's reach and accuracy is far better than those systems that use fixed sensors only providing a considerably higher level of service. 

Ventura's TMC service will alert you to all traffic incidents across the country and lists them in distance order from your current position. As well as this overview however you can also choose to monitor traffic incidents that are specific to the route you have programmed on the system. And, if there is congestion on your route you can simply ask Ventura to automatically find a route around it.

Ventura uses our unique AURA database which is updated daily, so the second a new camera is added you can download it, because anything less than 100% cover is just not an option. THE IMPORTANCE OF VERIFICATION - All databases are not created equal.

Unlike AURA, many other GPS databases rely largely on locations provided by hobbyists who might not be able to tell a speed camera or a red light camera from a traffic flow camera or a surveillance camera. These databases could result in annoying false alerts, which could lead you to start ignoring even legitimate alerts--defeating the point of having a GPS database in the first place.

Other databases are not updated every day, and they also limit how often you can download updates. As a result, devices using these databases are not as up-to-date as they could be and are likely to miss alerts.

In contrast, Snooper has assembled a professional team that devotes every working day to verifying each and every speed camera and high risk zone that goes into the AURA database.

Ventura comes complete with a built-in MP3 player. Now you can navigate to your destination whilst listening to you favourite music at the same time. Ventura comes with a headphone socket so you can plug in headphones, but it is also possible to plug in an FM transmitter (not included) enabling you to transmit both the navigation instructions and your music through your vehicles car stereo.
